RC Fornax are a specialist technology consultancy working with clients in some of the UK’s most secure and complex sectors. They provide highly skilled, flexible engineering teams, supporting projects where precision, reliability and discretion are essential.
Until now, the business had operated fully remotely. But with continued growth and their launch onto the London Stock Exchange’s AIM market, it was the right time to create a physical home – one that would bring people together, reflect the high standards they work to, and support the next stage of their journey.
RC Fornax, a cutting-edge technology consultancy, were opening a brand-new office in Bristol. With their launch onto the London Stock Exchange’s AIM market underway, this new workplace needed to reflect the level they operate at – professional, high-performing and future-focused.
Until now, their team had worked fully remotely. This project was all about bringing people together under one roof. The space needed to drive collaboration, support flexible working and create a real sense of identity.
It also had to accommodate secure and sensitive working areas to suit the nature of RC Fornax’s specialist projects.
Our design introduced a mix of spaces that support different ways of working. Flexible meeting rooms, private pods, breakout zones and an inviting reception area all work together to give people choice. Whether it’s quiet focus time or project collaboration, the layout supports it all. Materials and finishes were carefully selected for their quality and longevity – reflecting RC Fornax’s long-term goals and industry credibility. Specialist secure areas were sensitively integrated into the overall layout, ensuring they remained functional without disrupting the flow of the main workspace.
One of the most complex parts of the project involved designing and delivering a highly secure area within the main office. It came with strict technical and access requirements that demanded collaboration between various specialist contractors, from early-stage planning through to build and handover.
Alongside that, the shift from remote to office-based working meant creating a space that truly worked for the team. It needed to feel welcoming, inclusive and versatile—somewhere people genuinely want to be.
