When MiTek approached us, they were developing a brand-new purpose-built headquarters in Worcester. The building was taking shape. They knew they had the space. What they needed was a furniture strategy that would support their people, strengthen collaboration and help the business perform at its best. We partnered with them to shape a workplace that works as hard as their teams do.
MiTek wanted more than desks and chairs. They wanted a layout built around how their teams actually work.
Collaboration sat high on the agenda. So did communication. And just as important, they wanted every employee to feel equally valued, no matter where they were based day to day.
Wellbeing also played a key role. MiTek recognised that comfort, movement and personal control have a direct impact on long-term performance.
They also needed flexibility. As the business grows and evolves, the space must adapt without major disruption.
We began by shaping the floor plan around how MiTek’s teams interact. We focused on flow, purpose and adaptability rather than simply filling the space.
For product selection, we partnered with manufacturers located just a few miles from MiTek’s headquarters. This allowed their team to visit local showrooms, test products in person and support the local economy.
Once selections were narrowed down, we presented fabric swatches, finishes and material samples together. We laid them against the building’s interior finishes so MiTek could clearly see how everything would work as one cohesive scheme.
After approval, all furniture was made to order specifically for MiTek.
We coordinated delivery and installation in line with the approved plans, including the relocation and reuse of selected existing furniture. A dedicated furniture project manager remained on site alongside our installation team, with the original specifier also visiting to ensure the finished space reflected the agreed vision.
To complete the project, MiTek chose a styling package with planting and accessories, giving the space warmth and a ready-to-use feel from day one.
The biggest challenge was ensuring the new furniture sat seamlessly within a building already under development. Every decision needed to feel intentional, not separate.
MiTek also wanted to experience products first-hand. It was important that their teams could test comfort, quality and practicality before committing.
Finally, consistency mattered. The workspace needed to feel unified so everyone felt equally considered.

Although this was a furniture-only project, cohesion mattered. The space needed to feel connected and consistent throughout.
We introduced an open plan layout to bring teams together and create shared energy across the office. Instead of solid barriers, we used grid dividers to gently zone areas while maintaining sightlines and flow. This helped balance collaboration with focus.
Height-adjustable desks and monitor arms encouraged movement and gave individuals control over how they work. Small changes. Big impact.
The breakout area became the heart of the space. Shared by both office and warehouse teams, it’s designed for more than lunch. It’s a place to connect.
We introduced varied table settings and tiered seating to support everything from informal chats to larger gatherings. Multifunctional furniture allows the space to shift throughout the day, supporting real cross-department interaction.
MiTek now has a workplace that brings people together while still supporting focus and ownership.
The open plan layout creates shared momentum. The breakout space acts as a genuine hub for connection. And ergonomic furniture supports wellbeing across the business.
Most importantly, the space is built to flex. As teams expand or shift, the layout can adapt without major works or disruption.
It’s a future-ready workplace designed around people.
