The Challenge

The space Veolia previously occupied was expansive and over-sized, making the workspace feel disconnected and cold. A lease end prompted a search for vacant properties, and they stumbled across an empty and recently refurbished space just along the road. They came to Rhino to provide consolidation, within a smaller footprint. However, these new plans required buy-in from the teams and a dissolution of silos and departments, to encourage inter-team collaboration.

Our Solution

Our solution was to create a vibrant and attractive workspace which would encourage and nurture agile working and collaboration, and keep the team engaged and focused. The space needed to reflect the culture of Veolia and their brand with connections to other newly refurbished spaces within the company group, but yet provide the Birmingham location with its own identity. With its Midlands location, the concept was to make it an attractive central hub for Veolia staff who travel the country, where they could stop off to work or arrange meetings with colleagues from other parts of the country. Of course, it also provided the opportunity to connect the Birmingham staff with the wider Veolia group.
