The Challenge

Located in Solihull, Ecuity were looking to completely refresh the look and feel of their brand to convey a more contemporary atmosphere that better reflected their brand values. They took this opportunity to relocate to central Birmingham, better located for their staff to commute, which in turn would assist in staff attraction and retention.

The floorspace Ecuity acquired is part of an old industrial foundry. Being steeped in rich history, it was a primary concern from the outset to remain respectful of the historical features whilst still creating a contemporary and functional workspace.

Requiring a multi-purpose space finished to a high standard and reflecting the brand throughout, Ecuity came to Rhino to begin the design process.

Our Solution

We designed an office space which incorporated and reflected the space's industrial roots. Exposed services and raw metal features ensured this vibe was achieved.

With recyclability and sustainability being a high priority, the inclusion of recycled raised-access flooring, durable Bolon woven vinyl flooring and efficient Mitsubishi airconditioning guaranteed longevity and a reduced carbon footprint for the completed space.

We ran a competitive tender process and Rhino’s proposal scored highly for creativity and the quality of design for our new office. They provided us with confidence that the project would be delivered to a high standard, on budget and on time.

We are delighted with the finished product. The design strikes a great balance between contemporary design and the historical nature of the building; our staff are proud to work in the new space and it's proving a great place to work.

We have completed our first recruitment in the new office - all the candidates mentioned the offices are a place they would want to work, demonstrating it will help recruit new talent. The existing team are taking advantage of the facilities and I have no doubt this will help with retention.
