With their converted warehouse no longer offering sufficient office space for Forest Holidays’ continued growth, our team were called in with the view to a completely fresh office design. The goal was to create a workspace that improved space efficiency, and to fit-out the remaining warehouse space and adjacent but derelict boathouse. Our design was sensitive to the building and its immediate environment while at the same time developing the storage facility into high quality office space that gave the company the space they needed to grow.
Working closely with the directors, we developed a scheme which was bright and vibrant, whilst incorporating elements of nature. The main reception wall is clad in stone, the soft seating fabrics have a leaf and bramble pattern, there are lots of real plants dotted around the space and the wall graphics and pictures all have a forest theme to them. With an ever-growing workforce, challenges such as hot desking and formal/informal meeting spaces had to be factored in to the design, as well as providing a relaxing dining and breakout space for the staff.
