Ashlawn School Complete Design, Build and Install

Ashlawn School required a complete refurbishment of their existing library located in the old sports hall.  The ability to offer comprehensive design and build 'one stop shop' encompassing all aspects of the project was a crucial factor in Rhino winning the tender process. 

Work got underway at the beginning of the summer 2009 recess and 14 weeks later this awesome, stylish and functional interior was created.

The major work was to construct a new mezzanine level to create additional space for an IT area within the New Learning Resource area.

The whole ground floor was fitted out with bespoke library shelving system of 200 linnear metres, complemeneted by a new reception area.

The rear stage was re-used as a balcony with an opening to a new 6th form IT suite.  This was the existing staff work room.

Stainless steel and glass balustrading was carried through the design.

The staffroom was fitted out with seating colour which was co-ordinated to the school's colour scheme, and the left hand wall fitted with Hushtex sound absorbing, pinnable wall panels.

Sixth Form refectorary area was fully fitted out with a custom stainless steel and lime green theme.

Stylish, durable furniture completed the interior design solution.
